Annabel Warne Studio Portrait

Annabel Warne is a Melbourne/Naarm-based artist working from her studio in Cremorne, often joined by her bulldog, Gravy. She holds a Bachelor of Design, majoring in illustration, and has spent time abroad in Berlin, where she undertook a three-month residency at the Berlin Art Institute.

Annabel paints to capture tender moments and fleeting encounters—scenes that speak to the connections between humans, animals, and the landscape. Natural, atmospheric hues and gestural brush strokes echo the temporality of these moments, helping to draw the viewer’s gaze and envelope them into the work.

In 2024, she was recognised as a finalist in the National Emerging Art Prize.
