Annabel Warne is a Melbourne/Naarm-based artist working from her studio in Cremorne, often joined by her bulldog, Gravy. She holds a Bachelor of Design, majoring in illustration. She has spent time abroad in Berlin, where she undertook a residency at the Berlin Art Institute and lived and worked as an artist.
Annabel paints to capture tender moments and fleeting encounters—scenes that speak to the connections between humans, animals, and the landscape. Natural, atmospheric hues and gestural brush strokes echo the temporality of these moments, helping to draw the viewer’s gaze and envelope them into the work.
Recent group exhibitions include Best in Show at Michael Reid Murrurundi 2026, Swan Street Studio at St Helier’s Street Gallery 2025, and the National Emerging Art Prize 2024.
